Wine Bar Investigation - Bradford On Avon
Friday's investigation was in a wine bar formerly part of the post office in Bradford on Avon. There had been some strange things happening reported by the owners and folk working there.
We spent some time with Twighlight shadows group upstairs until the bar closed downstairs getting used to the area and the sounds of the place etc. The stairs part was strange because it bended round to a blocked door which I felt would of been a store room or some such thing, I also felt that this would of been used allot and we found out that a figure had been seen actually on the stairs in the past, also I felt a male presence to be in the place of which was responsible for the moving of objects and cutlery in the kitchen etc. I believe more than one but I don't think more than two spirits being the building.
Maria and the team carried out some good table tipping with the table actually moving a number of times around in a circle and some knocking was heard during questions etc, later a glass was used to some good effect with also the glass itself turning in a circle on the table as well.
Unfortunately Jacs was ill and unable to attend on the night, but Dave took some pictures with orbs etc during the investigation.
At one point he went down into the kitchen with one of Maria's team and they both saw a black figure moving fast in the room. one funny thing was during table tipping because
the rear fire door was slightly open a policeman who I know came up the stairs during Maria asking out which shocked everyone as we did not know who it was. This got a few laughs.
My man I picked up on was I feel from the late 19th century and I think worked there at some point ,I did not have a name for this man but I think he was older than 60 at his time of passing. My thoughts are he just wants to be known that he's around.

An Investigation of a Wiltshire Pub.
Last nights investigation was very interesting, it was in Wiltshire, a pub which to be honest was very quiet client wise for one reason or another. The owner has sadly split with her partner and it looks like the place will soon go up for a new landlord etc.
We met up with the guys from Twighlight Shadows and for the 1st part of the evening investigated a number of the upstairs guest rooms, everyone had their own experiences in the rooms but for me it was very quiet although I sensed movement along the corridors and a man connected to the area, the landlord it was found out was the source of the activity as she was receptive to spirit and at the time and I was not aware she was in a group in London for a while.
I believe she was the attraction of a religious man linked to what was in the area from the past, he was happy and comes in visitation and he loves it when she talks to him and acknowledges he's there , she latter confirmed that she did do this.
During table tipping in the bar area we made contact with a number of spirits who visit the place and once worked there, one of which I passed onto the other side at his request. There was much movement downstairs and tapping in response to our questions. One of the team also received a personal communication on the night.<
To sum up the investigation, the Landlord was indeed very happy to of found out some of what is going . We have yet to look at pictures and EVP.

Investigation 27/02/09 at The George Inn, Norton St. Philip.
Friday night Phoenix of Wessex and Twighlight Paranormal members and a few guests had an investigation in the George Inn at Norton St Philip.
I have been here a number of times over the last year and we have done a number of the rooms which are most interesting. There’s a lot of history surrounding the Inn and the area, of which I won't put to writing now but do invite you to research.
The press were very interested on the night and at the end of the investigation my good friends Dave and Jacs gave a brief interview of our findings.

Grovely Woods Wiltshire
Friday night I went to Salisbury to meet up with some friends and go to GROVELY WOOD.
To start with we went to Maria’s my friend's house, she is Wiccan and her living room was full of candles and some lovely music being played.
I was one of only two guys in the group and as the girls were all talking I was drawn to Maria’s hallway and sensed an energy of a man, I saw him walking up the stairs to the 1st bedroom.
Later on while outside I told Maria this and she was amazed as she told me only the other day her daughter saw a man figure at the top of the stairs looking at her. I was able to say that this was a gentle soul and there was nothing to worry about.
We went to a friend of hers house where we carried out a mini investigation, after a walk around the house we sat in silence and asked out, each of us felt different things. I saw a WW1 soldier in the living room and also felt a priest or man of the cloth.
The lady who owned it was of a generation of family who lived there, and at one point was owned by a butler, her grandfather served in WW1.
The group carried out glass divination and got some good responses however I sat out of this as I was tired.
Later we went to Grovely Woods which lies on a roman road, it's a great place but was very very dark.
The story is that back in 18th century I think it was in the village there lived 4 sisters called the Hansell sisters, small pox hit the village and killed over 100 people and the sisters were somehow blamed and with a false trial were convicted of witchcraft and bludgeoned to death in the woods.
They were buried apart from each other so hey could not do their magic and over the years there grew 4 beech trees or were planted beech trees on their place of death. Many offerings are placed here today, and Maria and group performed a protection ritual on the night, it was very nice evening and we all enjoyed it.

An Evening Walk With Friends
Well in the end we had a 'chill out' time and we did not actually do an investigation as such.
My friends from 'Twilight Shadows Paranormal' and my medium friend Pete, his wife, my oldest son and some friends ended up with me showing them around the Wiltshire sites of Roundway Hill - A Civil War Battle Site and Drews Pond Woods - An old Asylum.
Interesting Pete was able to accurately identify the ditch where the cavalry met their deaths, he said he heard men groaning from the area. Roundway is also a ancient hill fort with some great views around the coutryside, Pete said the Hill Fort seemed sterile to him.
We then went to Drews Pond which was the site of an asylum from 1850 up until 1990. In the valley is over 1000 souls buied who were both inmates and carers in the home. For some reason they planted trees there among the graves and over the years they have now overtaken the graves which are now lost among the long grass and woodland. You come across the stones in different areas of the wood. Its very strange.
Everyone took pics and I tried out a night vision scope which was cool as I picked up a cat mousing in the Woods.
The actual pond i.e Drews Pond was a scene of a tragic accident in 16th century when a wedding party coach overturned there, drowning all those inside the coach.
Ethan, my son was very scared but he enjoyed it, I think the thunder was the thing that set him off! It was a good experience for him and it was low key in the end so was fine.
